Scores On Doors privacy policy
Scores On Doors keeps your teams and games on your device and in your own iCloud. Nothing is sent to me, and there are no analytics, ads or trackers.
What the app uses
- Your teams, players and games. Everything you score is kept so you can come back to it and see stats.
- The camera, only when you scan a scorecard. The scan is read on your device to fill in an innings. It isn’t sent anywhere.
- A photo you pick for a team logo. The app only sees the photo you choose.
Where things are stored
- Games and teams are saved as files on your device and in your iCloud Drive, in the app’s own folder, so they sync between your devices and show in the Files app.
- Your theme and the number of games started are kept in your iCloud key-value storage, so they follow you between devices.
- Exports you share as
.jsonfiles go wherever you send them.
Network connections
The app talks only to Apple: iCloud for your data, and the App Store for purchases. It has no server of its own.
Purchases
Paid features are sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment, and I never see your card details.
Analytics and sharing
There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools in Scores On Doors, and nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.
This website
This page covers the app. If you use this website, two more things apply:
- Bug reports. When you send the bug form, I receive what you type in it: your name if you give it, your email address, and the details you write. I use them only to look into your report and reply. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
- Tips. Tips go through Ko-fi, which handles the payment under its own privacy policy. I see your name and message if you choose to share them.
- Site visits. The site counts page views with a self-hosted, cookieless tool that stores no IP addresses.
If you join the TestFlight beta, the sign-up form sends me your name and the email tied to your Apple ID, so I can invite you through Apple’s TestFlight.
Children
The app isn’t aimed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect anything from anyone.
Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, this page will change first, and the date at the top will move.
Contact
Questions about privacy go through the same form as bug reports, on the app page. Say it’s about privacy and I’ll reply.
